The China International Digital Economy Expo 2023---A Sneak Peek at 4 Key Features

On August 8, the Information Office of the Peoples Government of Hebei Province held a press conference in Beijing for the China International Digital Economy Expo 2023. The China International Digital Economy Expo 2023 will be held from September 6th to 8th at the Shijiazhuang (Zhengding) International Convention and Exhibition Center.

This expo is themed Industrial Internet Empowering Various Industries, Digital Economy Leading High-Quality Development. With the unique innovative concept, the expo aims to create a professional, exciting, and fruitful event in the field of digital economy. The expo has the following four prominent features:

More Distinctive Conference Theme. Focusing on innovative development of the industrial internet, the expo highlights its positioning as international, professional, and high-end. It includes various activities like the opening ceremony, keynote forums, technology and capital matchmaking, and international exchanges and cooperation. Nearly 400 leading representatives from domestic and international top enterprises, venture capital funds, and research institutions will be invited to share typical practices in the industrial internet, summarize application exploration experience, and explore the latest development trends. A dedicated Industrial Internet core exhibition area and a Shanghai Cooperation Organization country pavilion area were set up, with representatives from multinational companies such as Siemens and Tesla, as well as cross-industry and cross-domain platform companies from different nations participating in the exhibition to showcase the latest achievements in global Industrial Internet development.

More Outstanding Cutting-edge Hotspots. In-depth exploration of the understanding that industrial development begins with innovation and is achieved with capital, the expo will hold heavyweight events such as the 5G+ Industrial Internet Innovation and Development Forum, the Entrepreneurial Investment for Supporting the Development of the Digital Economy Forum, and the China Committee of 100 of Digital Economy Digital Transformation Forum. It will also host more than 30 parallel forums on topics such as digital finance, specialization and innovation, artificial intelligence, and metaverse. In addition, a series of activities with Hebei characteristics will be organized around the coordinated development of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, the construction of the Xiongan New Area, and the construction of Zhangjiakous hub node for the project of channeling the computing resources from the east to the west, driving the innovative development of the industrial internet. A series of authoritative research achievements and the latest development indices will be released, including the 2023 national industrial Internet cross-industry and cross-domain platform list, the 2023 China digital economy development research report, and the nationwide adoption rate of industrial equipment in the cloud, leading the industrys development direction.

Dedicated to promoting the smooth circulation of technology-industry-finance, particularly exploring new paths for the deep integration of finance and technology, the expo will invite 100 fund managers and incubate 100 venture capital projects, creating an open platform for technology and capital integration. It will also invite over 100 academicians and experts to showcase more than 500 innovation achievements, setting up a high-end platform for the release of innovative results. The expo will invite the Industrial Internet Top 100 and the Electronic Information Top 100, host an industrial Internet and cybersecurity industry ecosystem conference, and build a diverse digital industrial ecosystem platform. Furthermore, the expo will invite 100 fund managers and incubate 100 venture capital projects, establish an open platform for industrial capital integration. It will also invite hundreds of maker teams, hold competitions on integrated circuits, intelligent robots, and other topics, create a professional platform for digital economic competitions and promote deep integration between upstream and downstream industries with the four above platforms and advance the integration of the industrial chain, supply chain, innovation chain, capital chain, and talent chain.

In addition to showcasing new technologies, new products, and applications in the industrial internet platform network, identification resolution, edge computing, industrial intelligence, and digital twins, the expo will feature a variety of black technology exhibits, including Huaweis Panggu model, iFLYTEKs Spark cognitive model, and Teslas Optimus humanoid robot. It will also set up experience areas for AR/VR, AI digital humans, and E-CNY, as well as a 10,000 square meter outdoor exhibition area for new energy intelligent connected vehicles. The expo will feature live performances of hundreds of robots and thousands of drones, providing visitors with an immersive experience of cutting-edge technology. Additionally, an online exhibition tour and a metaverse participation zone will be launched, creating an ongoing expo that never ends.

The China International Digital Economy Expo is the first national-level digital economy event approved by the Party Central Committee and the State Council. It has been successfully held in Zhengding, Hebei for three sessions. In recent years, Hebei has vigorously promoted the digital industrialization and digitization of industries, guiding the deep integration of the digital economy and the real economy. It has accelerated the construction of a data-driven and intelligent integrated digital Hebei, injecting strong momentum into its development. The contribution of the digital economy has been increasing, with Hebeis digital economy reaching a scale of 1.51 trillion Chinese yuan, accounting for 35.6% of the GDP in 2022. The role of the digital economy as the main driving force for economic growth is continuously strengthening.
